Afternoon Tea in Blue

London, Spring Style

If there’s one thing to do whilst you’re in London it’s definitely a cheeky tea date. They come in all all kinds of of themes at different price points on Afternoon Tea, so you’re bound to find the one for you!

We popped on our favourite dresses and went along for the Chocolate Tea at the Landmark Hotel in Marylebone. This hotel is peaceful and classic, everything you would probably expect from a hotel in this area. The building is based around the ‘ Winter Garden’, filled with palm trees and surrounded by Victorian decor. If you can imagine what England would perhaps be like if it were a hot country, then that’s it. The service was professional and the woman playing Ludovico Einaudi covers on the harp was the dream.

I chose  to wear a shift dress by Whistles in my favourite spring colour- baby blue. I can’t get enough of it! Dressing down for afternoon tea just wouldn’t be fun whilst you sip away on champagne and nibble on chocolate scones, so staying chic is best. Dressing the part yet staying effortlessly comfortable is the key. This is probably easier said than done, but you can’t go wrong with a shift dress if you ask me (to fit in those cakes!).

This is the perfect thing to do if your Mum is in town, or if you just fancy a catch up with your friends. They’ll feed you finger sandwiches and champagne all afternoon if you’d like! Very cute and very tasty.
