It’s a known fact in the world of make-up that the eyebrow is key. A refined brow shapes the face and adds the right amount of definition and lift- but getting it right can be tricky. For me the brow should be tidy and natural (that’s how I like make-up in general) but it’s been seen too often as a complete disaster…
Charlotte Tilbury literally has the answer to those who love to have a nice brow or haven’t had much practise in drawing and shaping. I’ve followed her on Twitter and Vogue for some time now, and her Film Star Bronze & Glow (the best palette ever for contouring, it’s high up there on my wish list) keeps reappearing on social media. So, this Saturday morning I was in Selfridges wandering around the beauty hall having a look at what was new and what colours were coming in for spring. I absolutely love doing this and it makes me miss my beauty consultant days. Anyway, the Charlotte Tilbury counter is beautifully golden and rose pink with the products displayed with space and ease to shop. Its appearance is professional and feminine which is nice to see next to the counters going for the minimalist plastic look. I was feeling brow curious so I had a nosey, chatted with the sales attendant, tried it on and had to have it.
Firstly, I was drawn to the triangular-shaped pencil because it seems only obvious that every brow pencil in the world should be that shape in order to get the correct angle. It also didn’t apply too heavily on the first stroke.Winner! Then… the sales assistant opened the pencil and there is the best part. The highlighter sponge is included. I now only need one product rather than a pencil and my golden highlighter. Hurray!
If you can’t get to a counter, Charlotte Tilbury’s website is also super lovely.
Hope you’ve all had a sunny weekend and are now feeling brow inspired!
