Film Influence: Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961)

Trend, University Post

Breakfast at Tiffany’s is perhaps one of the most iconic when it comes to fashion influence- in particular with the importance of the Little Black Dress. In the film, this dress suggests that it were able to change Holly into a ‘whole new woman’- and this ideology has proved extremely popular with women ever since. It is said that a black dress will always be appropriate for most occasions.

Here are a select few of Audrey Hepburns’ costumes- including the black dress, trouser and sweater, and the trench coat- with reference to celebrity culture and the high street.
